What is Experience Montclair?

 

Experience Montclair (EM) is a University-wide tool designed to provide activities, events and workshops to help students become more involved on campus!

How do I Join in on the Fun?

​

You can access tasks and events that you can attend through the suitable app (download in the app store) or simply log-in to your NEST account and click on the Experience Montclair box!

You will also need to log in with suitable using your Montclair email and password. BUT be sure when you log-in that you type in your as shown:

smithj46@mail.montclair.edu

It will not allow you to sign into the app if you don't add the "@mail." portion to your email.

So what's my first task?

How to complete your First Semester Achievement (FSA):

  1. Once you have signed up for Experience Montclair and logged into the web or mobile application during orientation, go to the "Achievements" tab on the left-side toolbar.

  2. Click into the First Semester Achievement icon to view the requirements*:

    • Complete the orientation program (in-person and online module)

    • Attend a “First-Step to Success” workshop

    • Complete the community standard (two online courses)

    • Complete a virtual scavenger hunt

    • Create a tutoring account through the Academic Success Center (ASC)

*Note: if you do not see the First Semester Achievement icon, please contact the Experience Montclair team at experience@montclair.edu.

  1. There are two types of activities you may need to complete within the FSA:

You can complete an event – click the event to view the details

You can complete a task – click the task to view the instructions

  1. To receive credit for event attendance, you must log into the mobile app and use the event scanner to scan the Montclair event code presented at the event to get credit.

  2. To receive credit for task completions, you must complete the items included in the task’s description. When you are ready to submit a task for completion, click the circle “Õ•” icon next to the activity’s name and write your reflection for the task (if required). 

  3. Track your overall progress within the mobile or web app by viewing the progress icons in the achievement.
